If you are lucky you’ll meet a roe deer, Carpathian squirrel, partridge or pheasant, fire salamander or Carpathian newt in the forest. Also you’ll become familiar with the culture and lifestyle of Hutsuls, the traditional population of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

Horse riding is becoming an increasingly popular leisure activity. No surprise, as it’s not just unusual (even extreme) but also useful, aristocratic and offers communication with the clever and kind animals.

There are a lot of big and small rivers, lakes and ponds full of carp, crucian carp, silver porge, perch, pike, bream and other fish species of which fishing fans only may dream. There is also trout. Although fishing trout is forbidden from time to time, as it’s now quite rare in Carpathian rivers, there are several trout farms where you can enjoy fishing this noble specie.
Mountain skiing is offered by several Bukovynian tourist centers, in particular Myhove ("Migovo") and Nimchych Tourist Centers, Gorbovo Ski Park, Cecino Recreation Center, Sonyachna Dolyna Tourist Complex. All these ensure skiing and snow tubing opportunities with ski, children equipment, snowboards for rent and providing ski instructor assistance. Most of them include hotels and restaurants with local, Ukrainian and international cuisine.
Tortuous mountain passages appeared to be perfect for fascinating risky car races and since 1980s several events of this kind have been held in the region every year. Some of them are regular (as a part of the Cup of Ukraine), others are occasional (like Chernivtsi 600 rally that coincided with the city's 600th anniversary in 2008). Bukovyna, Aleksandrov Rally, Carpathian Golden Autumn, Bukovynian Winter rallies can be mentioned among others.
