Wooden Assumption of the Virgin Church, front view
The church located at the end of Chernivtsi's Zelena St is made of wood with stone foundation and is a typical sample of Ukrainian wooden architecture of the XVIII century.
Yet in the 1990s its roof was made of wooden shingle but later, to avoid difficult maintenance, it was replaced with sheet metal - the fate of many other historical churches in Bukovyna.
